Review: benefit the POREfessional Face Primer
benefit the POREfessional PRO balm is one of benefit’s best sellers. It is said to be the Holy Grail product for minimizing pores. Does it worth the hype?

It comes in a turquoise and white color plastic tube with a black screw lid. It has a small nozzle which controls the amount to dispense. The tube is packaged in a cardboard box.

Quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.
Application :
To use under makeup:
Apply to clean, lightly moisturized skin. Pat on problem areas & blend with fingertips. Wait seconds then apply makeup as usual. To use over makeup:
If pores reappear, pat delicately on T-zone over makeup & blend.
After cleaning my face, first I apply moisturizer. Then I pat POREfessional only over my visible pores (over my nose and center of my cheek) and dry area (around my mouth); not over my whole face. Don’t apply it in rubbing motion. Pat it and gently bend with finger tip. I’m not a touch-up girl, so never used it over makeup.

It has silky matte finish.
For minimizing pores and fine lines :
I don’t have large pores but have a large number of pores over my nose and center of my cheeks. It didn’t completely disappear the pores but seriously made them less prominent. It blurs fine lines but doesn’t do anything for wrinkles.
For even out the skin tone :
It very slightly diminishes imperfections, making my skin looks more even.
For making skin smoother :
I’ve always dry patch around my mouth and nose. It is lightweight and has a very silky finish, which makes my skin a perfect smooth canvas for makeup. It doesn’t balls up.
For increasing the longevity of makeup :
To be honest, I don’t think it controls any oil or make my makeup last longer.
Breakout : I’m highly prone to break out. It didn’t break me out. But everyone’s skin is different.

Pros :
1. It instantly minimizes the appearance of pores.
2. Blurs fine lines.
3. Skin looks more even.
4. It makes skin a perfect smooth canvas for makeup.
5. It is light-weight, which doesn’t make your makeup feel heavy.
6. It doesn’t balls up.
7. No breakouts.
Cons :
1. Expensive.
2. Don’t disappear large pores and fine lines completely.
3. Don’t do anything for wrinkles.
4. Don’t control oil that much.
5. Don’t make any difference in terms of makeup longevity.
Do I recommend :
If you want a pore minimizer then give it a try. You will like it.
But if you only want to prime your face, it’s not a must have but a good product.
Will I repurchase :
Not sure. Possibly not as it is expensive and pores are not my huge concerns. My main concern to prime is to make a smooth canvas for makeup which can be achieved by good drugstore primer. If was cheaper, I would definitely buy it over and over again.
