Hair Color : Lóreal Pecan Highlight on top of Garnier Intense Red
Hi, today I'm going to show you my new hair color done at home. We all know that if our hair is black or dark brown, we don't achieve the desired color when doing it at home. Mine is not exceptional as my hair is black.
Are you wondering how i got this color at home. It's mostly the result of the highlight.
Product used :
For base color : Garnier color natural (6.6 Intense Red)
For Highlight : Loreal frost & design dramatic hi precision hair color highlights (h45 pecan)
P.S. Please keep in mind, 8 months back, I colored my hair with Revlon ColorSilk Beautiful Color Permanent Hair Color (54 Light Golden Brown)
Procedure :
Base color procedure :
I washed my hair the day before i colored my hair. Next day, 1st I read the instruction carefully that supplied with the Garnier Hair Color. According to instruction, i mixed both the color and the developer very well. Then I used a towel to protect my dress from color. My mother applied the mixture to my hair with a tooth brush. After 5-6 hours, I rinsed my hair with water (Yes it's too long time but my hair is thick and don't easily get colored. But trust me, my hair don't get damaged even ater keeping the color for so long time). I didn't use any shampoo on that day. After 2 days, I washed my hair with shampoo but didn't use any conditioner.
Photo captured at day light. Please excuse my bare face.
If your hair is black, after using this color you won't get the color shown in this photo as mine was colored 8 months back with Revlon's Light Golden Brown. If you carefully see the photo above, my hair is reddish black at root for about 5 inches. It's the color you will achieve after using this color.
Hilightling procedure :
Next day I highlighted my hair. Before highlighting your hair, must change your dress otherwise it will be bleached for sure. I didn't care for my dress and it's now in trash. Again I read the instruction carefully and mixed the powder, developer and cream accordingly. Again my mother applied the mixture according to my instruction. She took thin sections of hair to apply the color leaving 2 cm gap between each highlighted section. After 40 minutes, I washed my hair with shampoo that are supplied with the highlighter. Then I used a towel to soak extra water from my hair (don't use your favorite towel as it may also be bleached) and applied the toner to my hair. Toner is also supplied with highlighter.
No matter how dark your hair is, the highlighting color will give you the exact color that shown in the packet.
